We understand that sometimes things may not go as planned — and we’re here to make it right. This blog outlines, in detail, how returns, exchanges, and refunds work at Ankahi by Aanchal. Please read carefully before placing your order.
- Eligibility for Return & Exchange
We accept return and exchange requests under the following conditions:
- The request must be raised within 7 days of receiving your order.
- The product must be unused, unwashed, unaltered, and returned with all tags, labels, and packaging intact.
- Each order is eligible for one return or exchange
- Orders placed using store credit are not eligible for a second return or exchange.
- Sale items, discounted products, or custom-made pieces are not eligible for return or exchange.
We want you to feel confident when shopping with us. If your garment is eligible, we’ll guide you step-by-step.
- Damaged, Defective, or Missing Items
While we ensure strict quality checks, should you receive a damaged, defective, or missing product, please:
- Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Provide clear photos or, preferably, an unboxing video showing the issue.
- Once verified, we’ll arrange for a replacement, store credit, or refund — whichever suits best.
Please note: Minor variations in color, print, or texture are part of the beauty of handcrafted garments. These are not considered defects but authentic characteristics of artisanal work.
- How to Request a Return or Exchange
The process is simple:

- Share your Order ID, the item(s) you wish to return/exchange, and, in case of damage, attach clear images.
- Once approved, we’ll schedule a pickup if your pin code is serviceable.
- If pickup is not available, we’ll guide you through a self-shipping
- Reverse Pickup & Self-shipping
- Reverse pickup is free of cost for areas where the service is available — we’ll bear the shipping cost for you.
- If your pin code is not serviceable for reverse pickup, you may self-ship the item to our warehouse at your own risk.
- For self-shipped returns, once the product passes our quality check, you will receive ₹150 as store credit to compensate for your courier charges.
- Pickup will be attempted twice. If both attempts fail, you will be required to self-ship the product and share the tracking details within 2–3 days.
- Refunds & Store Credit
At Ankahi, we prefer offering store credit — because we’d love another chance to dress your story beautifully. Here’s how it works:
- Store Credit:
- Issued within 24 hours after the returned product is received and verified.
- Sent via email.
- Valid for 365 days.
- Covers only the sale value of the returned product(s); shipping or COD charges are non-refundable.
- Money Refunds:
- Applicable only in cases where a wrong or damaged product was delivered.
- Refunds are processed to the original mode of payment within 7–14 working days after quality check.
- A flat deduction of ₹200 will apply for money refunds (except in cases of damaged items, where no fee is charged).
- Banks and payment portals may take an additional 2–3 business days to reflect the refund.
- Order Cancellations
- You may cancel your order before dispatch.
- If cancelled after dispatch, a logistics fee of ₹200 will be deducted from your refund.
- Cancellations are not possible once the product has been dispatched from the warehouse or delivered.
- Important Guidelines & Timelines
- All returns and exchanges must meet the following conditions:
- Products must be unused, unwashed, unaltered.
- All original tags, labels, and packaging must be intact.
- If you receive a “delivered” notification via SMS or email but have not received your package, please contact us within 24 hours.
- Our team reviews each request carefully; the final decision rests with Ankahi by Aanchal.
- International Orders
Currently, Ankahi by Aanchal ships only within India. We’re working to expand globally and can’t wait to bring our handcrafted stories to your doorstep soon — no matter where you are in the world.
- Our Commitment
We use trusted third-party courier services for all deliveries. While we ensure constant support, certain delivery-related details (like the courier executive’s contact) are beyond our control and are directly shared with recipients. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in such cases.
